You have found a fine antique ornate poison ring, dating back to the 1800s. It is heavy sterling silver with a tiny coral stone and fits a ring size 8. The head measures 16mm square. This piece has some initials on the outside of the shank that I cannot quite make out -- these are probably the artist's initials.  The lid does not stay tightly shut, but it can be easily repaired by a reputable jeweler. Additionally, the shank is slightly bent; otherwise, it is in very good condition. We have drastically reduced the price on this piece due to the minor defects. A wonderful old piece to add to your collection!
