This is a very pretty necklace of 925 silver marked Italy on the clasp.  It was very  heavily tarnished when it came to me and could still use a little more detail work; other than that it is in excellent condition.  The necklace also bears a maker's mark of "M" in a square; I've looked through my resources but can't find that mark.  It is a flat link chain designed to lay flat against your neck and ends in a sweetheart point right below your throat.  This necklace measures 16 inches and the flat chain is 4mm wide. The dark parts in the picture are simply a result of light reflection (I find shiny silver incredibly difficult to photograph!).  Aside from some remaining bits of tarnish that can be removed with some additional TLC, this necklace is in excellent condition and would make an awesome addition to your vintage jewelry collection.
