These perfect for summer fun little earrings appear to be genuine puka shells. Puka shells occur naturally -- little round shells with a natural hole in the center, perfect for stringing into necklaces, earrings, bracelets, etc. If you've been to Hawaii, you know what I'm talking about -- they abound! In fact, I wouldn't be surprised if these particular earrings did originate in Hawaii. But I don't know.
They are white; some of the shells show some irregularity which you might expect since they are natural, but the size is all uniform and they hang nicely from a French wire. They are unsigned.
The earrings measure 1.5 inches from the top of the wire. The little stack of puka shells is just a tad over 3/4 of an inch.
Add to your own vintage costume jewelry collection or thrill someone special with a gift -- perhaps a reminder of a past tropical vacation....
