This very striking ring is probably faux turquoise. It is antiqued silver tone metal with a large turquoise cab. The ring is adjustable in size.  At present it is sized to fit an 8 or a 9. It appears to be very well made and in excellent condition with little to no signs of vintage wear.   This ring would be suitable for a man or a woman. It came to me from an estate. 
The turquoise cabochon measures 5/8 of an inch long and 1/2 inch wide.
